Clinical Supervision

Clinical Supervision

In offering clinical supervision, we aim to offer a safe and compassionate space where you can talk about your clinical practice in a way that builds on your strengths and helps you to manage difficulties in a non-judgemental and collaborative way.

Clinical Supervision is a key part of being a psychological practitioner, and helps us to ensure that the therapy we offer is appropriate and effective. All registered psychological practitioners are required to engage in regular supervision.  Having a big sale, on-site celebrity, or other event? Be sure to announce it so everybody knows and gets excited about it.

Who we supervise

We can offer varied supervision based on individual needs to a wide range of clinical professionals. These tend to include practitioner psychologists (clinical, counselling, and educational psychologists), psychological practitioners (CBT therapists), and counsellors. We are also able to offer bespoke supervision for other clinical professionals such as nurses and health care professionals.

Please feel free to contact us to see how we can best support your supervisory needs.

What we offer

The exact nature of clinical supervision varies dramatically according to what model you are using with clients, what supervision framework you prefer, and how far along you are in your professional journey. Towards the beginning of a professional’s career, supervision tends to be focused on the process of engaging with client work and involves thinking about how best to overcome particular practical difficulties that inevitably arise when helping clients. As professionals become more confident and competent, supervision tends to become more about the experience of therapy. It becomes more focused on trying to understand the feelings that arise within the professional when around particular clients developing practice as a more reflective and reflexive professional.

We understand that your supervisory needs are, therefore, incredibly unique and personal. We will endeavour to match the supervision we offer to your individual requirements and work with you to ensure that these needs are met.

We will also pay special attention to your emotional wellbeing as a professional. All therapy can be draining and tiring, and it’s really important to look after yourself. An important, but oft overlooked, aspect of supervision is ensuring that we take some of that emotional burden from you where we can, and support you to let go of what we can’t.
