I am a trainee Counsellor with over 6 years experience working within Mental Health. I have recently completed my final year of studies and is working towards accreditation with BACP and NCPS.
I have worked in the NHS for over 6 years in a community mental health team. I am experienced in working with individuals presenting with anxiety, depression and complex trauma. Issues I work with include but are not limited to, loss, bereavement, loneliness, stress, self-esteem, sense of self, sexual identity and relationship issues.
I am part of the LGBTQ+ community and previously volunteered at an LGBTQ+ counselling service. I am able to bring my lived experience of queerness and an understanding of LGBTQ+ issues to my work.
Each person is unique and no one-size-fits-all. I work integratively, which means I incorporate techniques and skills from different theoretical approaches, for example, CBT, person-centred, and psychodynamic, in order to best meet my clients' needs. I can offer you a caring, considerate and friendly, empathic environment in which you can safely explore any issues, thoughts or feelings that you may wish to bring.
